The Concerned citizens and the youths of Amangwo town Olokoro Clan in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State have described the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency,Chief Ogbonna Abarikwu as the credible candidate they have for Federal House of representatives and vowed to ensure that he is elected come 2023.
Speaking during an interactive session with Engr Abarikwu held at Amangwo hall Olokoro,the spokesperson of the group Mr Nwaoha Enyinna Henry explained that the concerned citizens of Olokoro and the youths of Amangwo town represent the progressive minded people of Olokoro who want the best for Olokoro clan.
According to him,” Politically Olokoro can not boast of dividends of democracy even good road network and those who have been representing Olokoro are only after their own interests and it can not continue like that.
” I am a grass root politician,we need the youths to represent us this time around and you are the credible candidate that we have for Federal House of representatives.
” We will give you our maximum support and I believe the hand of God is in your aspiration.
” Politics is all about grass root and your election is my project,we want to make a point in 2023.
” We need someone who has passion to attract democratic dividends to Olokoro clan” he said.
In his speech, the President General of Amangwo town as well as president general of five other autonomous communities including the Amizi , Amangwo,Umuajata ,Umuntu , and Umudere Olokoro,Chief Philip Okwudiri Oleghibe,thanked chief Abarikwu for finding time to visit them.
He said,” You are the first person among the candidates that has stepped your legs in this community.
” We will give you our maximum support and you must win” he said.
Addressing the Concerned citizens and the youths of Amangwo Olokoro clan, chief Abarikwu described youths roles as very important in the development of the country ,added that Nigeria today belongs to the youths .
He narrated his experiences when growing up in Nigeria , said the country used to be a great country to live in,but decried the failures of the leadership of the country and said it will not continue that way .
” We have come to help change the narratives to make Nigeria better and we must ensure that people of integrity are elected to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency .
We need capable hands and I am here to serve the people,if Olokoro people vote massively for me to represent them they will not regret it and I am here to thank you for supporting me during the party primaries ” he said
