World Methodist Council President Visits Abia State ,Enjoins Christians To Love Their Enemies

Christians all over the world have been enjoined to show love to their neighbors and their enemies as well ,saying the church of God is not a secular world ,but the children of God .
The World Methodist Council President ,the Rev.Dr Jong Chun Park ,who made this known to Newsmen at Wesley Methodist Cathedral Umuahia , during his two day visit to the Umuahia Archdiocese,maintained that as Christians ,we should love our enemies, pointing out that even as sinners ,God so love the world and sent His only son to redeem man kind.
According to him , ” I know your churches and the people have challenges, there was a time Koreans were in war against each other ,we fought each tribes ,so we became enemies, but now there is no enemies .I know your troubles and sufferings ,because Korean people went through the same process, but the power of love and the Gospel will make you to overcome all these challenges “
Addressing Newsmen, the Archbishop of Umuahia and Bishop of Umuahia ,Most Rev Dr. Chibuzo Rapheal Opoko,said the World Methodist council president was on a familiarization  and thank you tour in Umuahia Archdiocese, saying he decided to come and thank the Abia and Nigerian people, especially the Methodist prelates who spearheaded and endorsed his election.
Opoko ,pointed out that the crowd of people were there to show love to the visitor ,noting that he had prophetically bless Abia state and the children.
According to him, ” Your coming in the beginning of this 2020 ,an Apostolic year ,and a year which our conference Theme is “Here am I ,Send me ” (Isaiah 6:8b) ,is not just a coincidence but a divine prophetic precision, to give credence to your evangelistic disposition in life and ministry “
” Thus your appearance and stepping of your foot in this Abia state ,in particular the Archdiocese of Umuahia will definitely ignite an uncommon and unusual charismatic ,evangelical and prophetic fire in this land ,especially amongst Christians and in particular Methodist faithfuls .This will leave an unforgettable memory of your coming as the outcome of your visit with our experience encounter and exposure with you will remain evergreen in our hearts and minds years to come ” he said.
In his speech, the chairman of the Methodist Lay men ,Engr Udo Nwokocha ,expressed joy over the coming of the World Council president, describing it as wonderful and that history has been made by his visit ,adding that his coming is also a demonstration of the Archbishop friendliness to the World president.
