Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd) said his is contesting for the position of senator representing Abia central to elevate quality representation and to bring dividends of democracy to his constituency people.
The former Minister of State for defence under President Goodluck Jonathan said because he understands what is involved,he will give quality legislation as well as attract democracy dividends to the people.
Speaking during the burial of Pa Ubani Nwokocha at Awomukwu Community in Ikwuano local Government Area of Abia state, said he understands the rudiments of legislation and will not disappoint his people.
Commenting on what he achieved as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,he disclosed that,” I was minister of State for defence and I worked in conjunction with the Federal Authorities and the State Government to strengthen security apparatus in the state and by extension to my constituency”
He thank God for the life of Pa Ubani Nwokocha, said he died at a ripe age and that the children gave him a befitting burial.
