The Abia North politicians have been called upon to come together so as to speak with one voice to enable them achieve Abia North political aspirations in 2023.
Addressing Newsmen shortly after the Abia North political Round Table and awards ceremony held at Obayi Ovim Civic Center Isuikwuato local government area of Abia state, the Director general Abia North political Projects Dr Uduma Nnate stressed the need for unity among Abia North political class to achieve their aspirations.
He pointed out that ,” our unity is not only needed to produce the next Governor of Abia state in 2023 but for other elective positions .
” That is exactly why we have gathered here today to discuss and brainstorm on the way forward for us in 2023 and beyond as a political block in Abia state.
” We feel for us to make a serious milestone in Abia North, we need to be united .
” If we are not united ,we can not get the governorship position and for us to be united,we need to organize programmes that will bond us together as a people because power is not given,it is struggled for.
” We need to bring our people together irrespective of our political affiliation.
” The people we invited here are people from different political parties and we want a situation where at the end of the day,all political parties will give their gubernatorial tickets to Abia North, from there we will decide who to
support because Abia North parades the best hands that can transform Abia state “
He disclosed that Abia North parades the best hands and brains that will move Abia state to it’s pride of place in eldorado,but we must showcase them to Frontline political parties through some of these our events, programs and activities.
” That way our aspirants will become the beautiful bride of the different political parties.
” Every political party will want to present sellable candidates irrespective of the zone they come from.
” Therefore we must make our aspirants sellable through some of these our programs,events and activities”
In their separate speeches some of the participants and recipients of awards expressed their appreciation to the organizers of the event while urging them to keep it up.
Sir Denis Ugwa and Dr Ejike Oji said Abia North people have enough good hands to be governor in 2023 , urging people from Abia south to allow power based on Abia charter equity
