*Isiozi community in Umuaka today reinterred the exhumed corpses causing rift in the community
We did promise to keep you posted of the developing story concerning this issue. Recall that last week, we did brought to you the story of the exhumed corpses of two women, those who died and were buried for almost three weeks, but due to land dispute between the family of the deceased and another family in the village, for which the corpses were said to have been buried at the disputed land, and those laying claim to the ownership of the said land exhumed the corpses and deposited them at the market Square, in Isiozi village.
This despicable and condemnable act angered the youths of the community, who in turn carried the corpses and deposited same first in the compound of those suspected of having exhumed the corpses, and later on transferred them to their living room.
This issue has been raising serious concerns in the Umuaka community, which attracted the attention of the local government management committee, some human rights groups, and of course the government of Imo state, and finally a truce was reached, which today resulted to the corpses being reinterred back into same graves they were hitherto exhumed from, while other issues bothering on total reconciliation is ongoing.
