There is hope for teeming unemployed Abia Youths, especially those residing within Enyimba city as the Developer of Ariaria Multi International Market and Managing Director of Blessed Henken International Company Limited,Engr Henry Okoroafor has assured that on completion of the remodelling of Ariaria international market,more than 10 thousand Abia youths will be employed in that multi billion Naira magnificent project.
Speaking while conducting a cross section of Journalists round the multi billion Naira magnificent edifice being constructed in A line Ariaria International Market Aba, Okoroafor said the employment opportunities will go a long way to take youths out of streets as well as reduce crimes,which is tandem with the vision of the Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti,who assured that in new Abia,more jobs will be created for the youths to enable them earn good living.
According to the Developer,” We are remodeling Ariaria international Market Aba, having spent about 25 years in China and saw transformation in that nation, we decided to come home to replicate it and see how our State could look better than Lagos or Abuja.Chinese believe in healthy competition and without this level of competition, I do not think we can make any headway in terms of infrastructural development and I came with a Chinese team,they are a kind of to fund the project run by my company to develop Aba in the next 5 years
He pointed out that the uniqueness of the magnificent edifice is that it has some facilities which can be rarely found in markets in Africa which include an elevator in every block of the building that will lift customers from the ground floor to the up floors with ease , fire proof doors,which will prevent fire outbreak that is frequently witnessed in most markets in Africa, spacious motor parks that can contain as many vehicles as possible,steady power supply that can last for 10 hours as the market is not a night market, among others and at the conclusion of the project,Ariaria will look like Dubai and we plan to give more than 10 thousand Abian youths jobs and pay each of them more than 100 thousand Naira take home monthly” he said
Speaking further, he urged investors to utilize the rare opportunity that has been made available, and invest their money in buying the remodeled shops ,adding that they are very affordable.The traders who are existing owners are paying 5 million Naira per a remodeled shop and own the shop outrightly as a kind of compensation to them while those new comers are paying 6 million Naira,noted that 85 percent of the remodeled shops have been paid for by the existing owners while 15 percent by new comers,adding that payment can be made installmentally.
” Buying the remodeled shops is a very hug investment and you will be making profit. You can buy and resale too”
He informed that the job started since October,2021 and his company has been making serious progress.
“We have about 4200 shops we are remodeling while we had demolished about 3600 old shops. So we are building more than we demolished. And each building is connected to another , which means
you can walk to the next building when you finish buying things in one building.
He applauded Governor Alex Otti for the cordial relationship that has been existing between them,” We have a very cordial relationship and we are moving on very well, the Governor has been assisting ,the Commissioner too in what we are doing” he said.
He finally urged traders to encourage what his team is doing, explaining that it is for the betterment of Abians,Igbos and Nigerians.
