Imo state gubernatorial candidate of ANRP ,professor Alphonsus Ekwerike ,has declared that the health care delivery system in Imo State is in a very poor state despite having very good doctors and other healthcare practitioners ,adding that our hospitals are mere buildings, no diagnostic equipments, no quality drugs in stock and no good remunerations to healthcare workers.
The medical expert who disclosed this while addressing Newsmen ,pointed out that “there is no single clinical research facility or grants and no advancement of knowledge in our plagued tropical diseases or our ethno health care system & osteopathy “
Ekwerike has restated his determination to synergize with his American Medical Experts friends to establish good medical facilities, research centers, medical / health care programs and grants for Imolites.
He further revealed that. ” if we can assure them of security and enabling environment. I am very sure Imolites can guarantee this because we are on zero status now and every life matters”
