Oloko Women of Ikwuano L.G.A ,Abia state , have been commended for their hard work and dedication towards the development of Oloko autonomous community, saying Oloko women have done much to ensure that the community is developed.
Addressing the entire Women of Oloko autonomous community, during their 2019 August Meeting, held at Oloko hall ,the traditional Ruler of Oloko autonomous community, HRH Eze Totti .D . Igbokwe ,lauded the women of Oloko for their commitment towards the development of their community, saying the out going leadership of women helped in building the college at Oloko, the hall and even the health center ,while the in coming leadership to follow their foot steps.
Eze Igbokwe called on sons and daughters of Oloko to help in the development of Oloko, even as he applauded their sons that were given recognition as something they merited.
The Eze used the opportunity to call on the state government to come to their assistance in the area of roads construction, saying majority of their roads are in deplorable conditions,especially the road that leads to the Eze’s palace,even as he appealed to government to help them ensure their health center is functional.
Speaking at the August meeting, the outgoing chair lady of Oloko Women, Mrs Charity Chinedum Ifenkwe ,disclosed that the intention of the women August meeting was to develop their community, saying her leadership achieved a lot in the area of development of Oloko ,which according to her ,included the Oloko hall ,the Oloko college ,the building of Oloko health center among others
Mrs Ifenkwe expressed much happiness towards the success of the August meeting, while Thanking all those that honor their meeting ,especially those that were honored as Ezinne and those given awards of recognition .
Addressing the women, Evangelist Chinyere Celestina Ikpeama ,said was their because her mother was among those given Ezinne recognition,saying the community saw the virtues on her and found her worthy for the recognition as Ezinne,even as she urged Oloko women to make peace with God and their fellow women ,while advising the Nigerian president to allow spirit of God to direct him.
In their various speeches ,Chief John Agwunwa Ezego one of Abukwubu Autonomous community, described their sister that received Ezinne award as a woman that is well trained ,while Honourable Okezie Anyanwu ,said they came to identify with their sister,even as Ikechukwu Akobundu ,who received the award on behalf of chief Austine Akobundu ,said his brother has done much in their area of development of Oloko autonomous community and empowerment of the youths ,adding that he is a grass root leader,who has encouraged and supported the development of Oloko autonomous community.
For Dr Samuel Udochukwu Onyemachi ,who was also given award of recognition, who was represented by the wife Mrs Onyemachi Patricia ,thanked the women for the recognition, urging them to support their leaders and shun gossips,while Lady Ezinne Florence Odinmba was grateful for honor given to her .
Earlier the new chair lady of Oloko women ,Mrs Agbukwuo Onyinye expressed her gratitude for the success of the August meeting, saying her leadership is poised to bring in new ideas to help develop their community, even as she thanked the women for finding her worthy to lead them.
