The Ohuhu clan chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders have organized a constituency meeting with the intention of fraternizing with the members of their constituency.
Interacting with Newsmen shortly after the constituency meeting held at Nkwoegwu primary school ,Umuahia North ,the Abia state Commissioner for Finance ,Dr Aham Uko ,” Stated that ” The PDP in Ohuhu land ,have decided to get back to our constituents to know exactly if there are issues that need to be addressed; and if there are issues ,we will addressed them” he said
He further revealed, that the constituency meeting will be organized from time to time ,so as to bridge the communication gap between the Government and those being governed.
According to him , ” We want to bridge that communication gap to ensure that our people will know that they are part and parcel of this government, we do not only meet because there is election, we need to from time to time consolidate on our position ” he added
Dr Uko while addressing the Ohuhu people at the event ,however promised to relay to Abia state government all the issues that Ohuhu people have pointed out that need to be addressed.
In his words ,” we have noted all that you have pointed out as issues that need to be addressed, we will make efforts to ensure that in few days time , the Umuawa – Nkwoegwu road you mentioned will be looked into ,soon World Bank will start the water project in this place, in the area of employment mentioned by the youths ,please have patience ,any time there is employment going on ,we will make sure our people are employed and those other roads that are not captured in budget this time ,we will ensure they are captured in the next budget of the government”
In his speech, the House member representing Umuahia North state constituency, Hon.Kelechi Onuzuruike ,appreciated the Ohuhu people for their continuous support to PDP and the Abia state government,while reminding them of the PDP primaries and the local government elections coming very soon .
In his speech ,the TC Chairman Umuahia North local government ,Comrade Lucky Akabuike ,urged the members of the Ohuhu PDP family to be patience and steadfast with PDP,saying with time every member will be rewarded.
Earlier on ,some of the Ohuhu people ,who spoke during the meeting ,pointed out ,bad roads ,health center issue, employment of the Ohuhu youths , empowerment and appointment of those PDP members who have worked and remain loyal to the party PDP as issues that need to be addressed,while the Ohuhu President General ,chief Obi Aguocha ,
Commended all those Ohuhu sons and daughters who have been representing them in government ,as well as appreciate the Ohuhu people for the support they have been giving their representatives in government,even as he appealed to the Abia state government to look into all the issues Ohuhu people have pointed out at the event with a view to solving them.
