Ogbonna Abarikwu lauds Church Leaders for positive roles,urges them to be actively involved in politics.

The APGA Candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency in the forthcoming general election,Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu has lauded the leaders of the Methodist Church Nigeria Ehimiri circuit in Umuahia,especially the women for positive roles they play in the church and society at large,while urging them to be involved in politics to help change the ugly narratives in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency,Abia State and Nigeria in general.

Engr Abarikwu,who worshipped at Ehimiri circuit, observed that the church was made up of powerful leaders and encouraged them to be active in politics,so as to be a veritable tool in changing the State.

He disclosed that God has abandoned Abia State leaders, revealing that it is for that singular reason that things are not working well in the State.

He regretted that 31 years after the creation of Abia,the State can not boast of good road network,payment of workers’salaries and pensions among other things.

He therefore, appealed to the people to go out en masse on the 25 February,2023 using their PVCs to elect those who will serve the people transparently,added that,”I am very convinced that you will cast your votes to Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency.

In his response,the Minister in charge of the church,Very Rev.S.O. Kanu said the church will pray for God’s directions to enable them vote wisely and prayed for the victory of Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu.

He further led the church to a special prayer for Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu and asked God to fulfill his mission of representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency.

Earlier, during his sermon,the Minister encouraged Christians not to give up because of the present situation of the country, assured that Nigeria will be fine again.
