The National President of Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals(NUAHP) Dr Obinna Chinelo Ogbonna has disclosed that their National Executive Council Meeting holding in Umuahia Abia state capital would be interactive and suggesting solutions to all the burning issues of the union comprising welfare of the union, Health Insurance coverage for the citizens of Abia state,how they can go about it and the benefits that are embodied in it .
Dr Ogbonna who made this disclosure in Umuahia while interacting with Newsmen said Abia state is hosting this statutory meeting which are done every three months and the union delegates from the 36 states and the Federal capital territory Abuja are all in the state for this very important meeting.
According to him, ” We shall interact with our members ,the work force here,pay courtesy visit to the Governor and the other major stakeholders in the state”
He called on all the members of the union to participate actively in the on -going meeting in Abia state
We welcome Nuahp officials to Abia state. Let us hope that this forum shall provide ample opportunity to advise stakeholders in the health sector in Abia state against privatizing Hmb in whatever guise as Hmb institutions are meant to serve as arm of govt that provides efficient health care services to the masses at affordable cost.
