A renowned Gospel preacher and man of God Rev.Dr Uma UKPAI has declosed that it is the turn of the Igbos to rule Nigeria, urging them not to leave Nigeria rather fight until change comes .

The Founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelist Association said the Southeast part of Nigeria should be given opportunity to rule the country as has been done to other zones of the country.

Preaching in one -Day Solemn Assembly with the theme ‘ Redeeming The Pride and Glory of Ndigbo, organized by the South -East Christian Traditional Rulers on mission to peace and conflict resolution initiation in conjunction with Christian Association of Nigeria, held in Michael Okpara auditorium Umuahia,Abia state, he pointed out that “the battle we are fighting now in Nigeria is not our battle,it belongs to God and we need to acknowledge our shortcomings that we clearly do not have regards for our elders and lack of respect for elders among the Igbo youths accounts for the problems being faced in Igbo land, adding that there are blessings attached to respect for elders and parents”

He challenged them to rise up and confront whatever mountain that is on their way of success.

Speaking further he called on Igbo youths to learn how to respect their elders, wondering why the youths are asking God to bless them when they have no regards to their elders as well as their parents.

He frowned at the way some youths of Igbo land treat their elders, calling on them to repent, change their ways and ask God for forgiveness.

According to him,” Everytime I see what we do to our elders I cry.
” When we have no respect for our elders, why are we telling God to bless us ?

” We want God to change the way we treat our elders. I am pleading to you today to ask God to make us change and have respect for our elders.

” This is the reason why we are struggling in the midst of plenty, look at what is happening at Orlu in Imo state and Anambra state.

” Learn how to respect the elders and your parents for anyone that has no respect for his elders and the parents has problem.

He stated that “there is a solution to every problem and that the beginning of that solution is for youths of Igboland to admit where they have gone wrong and then ask God for forgiveness and God will give them the grace to change ” he said

Earlier in his speech, the organizer His Royal Majesty Eze Ogbuka Origa expressed appreciation to God for helping him to gather the Southeast Christian Traditional Rulers together for prayers, progress and development of Igbo land.
