Ikpeazu Commends Traditional Rulers For Ensuring Peace In The State

 

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has inaugurated the new executives of the Abia state Council of Traditioal rulers with the traditional ruler of Eziama Ntigha, HRM Eze Joseph Ndubuisi Nwabeke as chairman.

Others include the Enachioken of Abiriba Kingdom, HRM Eze Kalu Ogbu, first deputy chairman , the Traditiional Ruler of Isiugwu autonomous Community Ugwunagbo Eze Harry Ugwuala second deputy chairman and Eze Godffrey Onwuka of Umuntowe -Olokoro Autonomous community ,Umuahia South LGA as third deputy chairman.

Speaking while inaugurating the new council at the Michael Okpara Auditorium Umuahia, Governor Ikpeazu lauded the complimentary role of Ndi Eze towards the prevailing peace and security in the state.

Governor Ikpeazu who said he is proud of the members of new council of Traditional rulers in the state, stated that his administration would always rely on their wise counsel in moving the state forward and in maintaining the lead as the most peaceful and safest state in Nigeria.

Governor Ikpeazu who noted that the state government has enjoyed a robust working relationship with the state council of Ndi Eze called for the corporation of all Abia traditional rulers to enable the new council succeed.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of others, the chairman Abia State Council of Traditional rulers, Eze Joseph Ndubuisi Nwabeke, thanked. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for providing them a platform through which they would contribute to the advancement of the welfare of Traditional rulers in the state and promised that they will justify the confidence reposed on them.
