I will Spearhead A Reform To Ensure Regular Payment of Workers Salaries In Abia state ,Says Dr Aham Uko

 The  Abia state commissioner for finance ,Dr Aham Uko has disclosed his readiness to resolve the problems of salary delay and the pensions  ,promising to do his best to get it resolved .

Dr Uko ,who spoke with SouthEastBreaking News revealed that ,

” I will see that as a primary duty to the people of this state to x-ray the circumstances that led to the arears .I will see areas where we can block linkages to be able to generate enough funds to effect this recurrent expenditure and then I will ascertain if actually we have that number of pensioners and civil servants.”

While speaking to newsmen in his village Nkwoegwu ,declared that “the implication is that I will spearhead a reform and ensure that imaginary pensioners are taken out of that book .If there are fictitious names we have to get them erased .Let us know who are the true pensioners ,let the true pensioners be the one to demand for their pensions .One we will ensure that going forward in consonant with the vision of the governor in salaries and pensions

Payment regular, let us maintain regularity in payment ,first and then we will sit back and then structure arears to genuine pensioners and civil servants of certain  parastatals .The other parastatals that are complaining of outstanding salaries “

We will look at the circumstances surrounding the operations of their institutions and see how we can fine turn the operations of these institutions to make them more efficient ” he said .
