The Abia state Deputy Minority leader and Member representing Bende North state constituency ,Hon.Chijioke Chukwu has pledged to pursue child rights and ensure that both the haves and the have nots are giving equal opportunities in Bende North constituency.
Addressing Newsmen after his inauguration at Abia state House of Assembly ,Umuahia ,he revealed his plan of making sure that those who are less privileged in Bende North state constituency have access to quality and affordable education. ” I have a lot of work to do ,I am going to ensure child rights, because a lot of children in Bende North are out of school ,not because of their own making .We are going to create equal opportunities for them “
Honourable Chukwu ,pointed out that ,he could achieve that ,through legislation and other supports. In his words , ” I can help not just through legislation ,I can equally boast their moral to make them go to school ” he said.
He attributed his success to God ,hard work and good relationship with the people. ” My winning is of God ,hard work ,commitment, grassroot mobilization and good relationship “
The new deputy minority leader ,hinted that Abians should be expectant ,saying this present house will be known for integrity and of good character
Speaking at the event ,the immediate past chairman Bende local government ,Hon.Gabriel Elendu ,urged the house members to ensure they make laws that will help to move Abia state forward.
He pointed out that although the house member representing Bende North constituency emerged from APC ,that party politics is over ,hence he is optimistic that Bende North will experience a lot of dividends of democracy.
He called on the three arms of government to work together so as to move Abia forward .
