The Final Phase of
Professor Gregory Ibe Education Intervention Scheme has been officially flagged-off in Abia North with a charge for students to take their academic work seriously so as to truly become the future leaders of the nation.
The flagging off exercise for Abia North senatorial zone students which took place at the school field of Collins Memorial College and Ohafia Central School, Elu- Ohafia in Ohafia local government Area of Abia state had in attendance students and pupils from both schools and their teachers.
Addressing the students during the flag-off ceremony, the Director-General, Abia Crusader and Professor Gregory Ibe Education Intervention Scheme Foundation,Hon. Emeka Okafor explained that the objective of the scheme is to take care of the educational needs of students of Abia state because they are the future leaders of the state.
Hon. Okafor charged them to take their academic studies seriously so as to prepare themselves as future leaders .
Continuing , he pointed out that Professor Gregory Ibe understood the importance of education in the development of the state,hence he established the Gregory university in Abia state to help Abia students, adding that the distribution of the free education exercise books is to support and encourage students in learning.
He informed that over 600 Abia students are currently benefitting from his scholarship award in Gregory university, revealing that Professor Gregory Ibe has put in so much resources to support and encourage education across the three senatorial zones of Abia state as Abia North was the final phase of the distribution of the exercise books.
He disclosed that professor Gregory Ibe started from zero level and out of hard work and determination achieved so much in life and that because God has blessed him,he is out to help other people,noting that determination is a major key to success in life .
” I want all of you to take time and read the brief story of professor Gregory Ibe at the cover of the exercise book and it will help you to understand that he succeeded through hard work.
“He had no sponsor when he was in school,so he sponsored himself and his siblings,so I encourage you to take your academic studies seriously.
“Professor Gregory Ibe is a consultant to 15 ECOWAS countries and the United Nations , helping them to develop their economy and that is what he is bringing on board to develop Abia state if he is elected as the Governor.
” I appeal to you to continue to pray for Professor Gregory Ibe to succeed
his Abia state governorship aspiration and his dream for a better Abia state.
” When Professor Ibe becomes the Abia state Governor in 2023, he would create more opportunities for businesses and education to thrive as well as use his rich International connections to develop Abia state in general ” he said.
