The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia candidate for Ikwuano-Umuahia North /South Federal constituency Engr. Abarikwu Ogbonna has consulted with Ikwuano Oboro people, promised to leave legacies for the constituency if elected in 2023 to represent them.
Abarikwu while addressing Ikwuano Oboro stakeholders in Isiala Oboro, challenged the people of Ikwuano Oboro to shun politics of money in 2023 and elect credible candidate that will change their narratives.
He insisted that if APGA takes over in 2023 that there will be genuine transformation in Abia State which will lead to change in the narratives in the local government level, even as he promised to ensure that Ikwuano people get good roads, good health facilities, upgrading of government schools amongst other .
His words,” I want a positive change that is deeply rooted on truth . I want to challenge us that politics of 2023 should not be politics of money and greed .
” Anyone that wants genuine change should not pay attention to money .
” Remove your heart from politics of money and work hard to elect all APGA candidates.
” Politics of money makes it possible to put in office the most irresponsible, irrational and visionles person.
” We want to reclaim our society back and I want to leave legacies for all of us and we want APGA to take over Abia State government in 2023″
In his speech the APGA Abia Central chairman,Hon.Chinagorom Okeiyi said they were in Oboro to interact with stakeholders,added that APGA being an Igbo party is a choice party which needs only laying the rightful foundation to reposition it.
In the separate speeches, some of the stakeholders from Ikwuano Oboro who spoke at the event, promised to vote massively for APGA .
Mr Azibuike Chinele from Oboro ward 1 , Mr Ihechukwu Anthony Elijah, chief Silas Ikpeama ,the state constituency candidate Nduka Izuchukwu assured that the people of Ikwuano Oboro will not disappoint Engr Abarikwu Ogbonnaya and all the APGA in 2023 election.
Earlier,the D.G of Engr Abarikwu Ogbonnaya’s campaign team , Mr Osondu Anamelechi , urged the people of Ikwuano Oboro to take 2023 election seriously, said it is the only chance to bring the necessary and needed change in Abia
He expressed appreciation to Ikwuano Oboro people for giving ticket to Engr Abarikwu,appealed to people to get their PVCs to elect credible candidates.
Some of the stakeholders who were present at the interactive session included people from Oloko wards, Oboro wards ,Igbere wards among others.
