The Don Lulu Foundation has graduated the first batch of the participants in the Agricultural training programmes sponsored by the chairman of the foundation Lucky Igbokwe.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony held at the palace of Oba Ekeoba in Ohuhu Umuahia,the chairman Don Lulu Foundation,Lucky O .Igbokwe revealed that his foundation major objective is to alleviate poverty in the land,adding that what people need is to be nurtured ,trained and empowered .
According to him , ” I am happy because it is a little idea that has become a reality. I saw the level of poverty in Nigeria, consequently Don Lulu Foundation steps in to assist our people.
” The foundation objective is to provide training, empowerment, constant training and re-training for our people in Agriculture
” Don Lulu is for humanity and we must continue to touch and impact the lives of our people . I am impressed by the level and number of participants and graduands and we will do everything possible to help them to stand economically”
In his speech the traditional ruler of Ekeoba Ancient kingdom and chairman BOT Avis Multipurpose Cooperative Society Abia state ,His Royal Kingship Eze Iheanyi Chukwu Nwokenna ,lauded the chairman of Don Lulu Foundation for having the mind to empower the people.
He disclosed that “Don Lulu’ s goodwill is to empower our people to come out of poverty,even as he appreciated everyone that participated in the training, saying with the level of training they have undergone ,they can be independent in the area of Agriculture “
In his speech, the deputy chairman of Umuahia North local government Hon.Bob Agbugba , commended Don Lulu for giving to the people, while calling on others to emulate him
In his Contribution, the traditional ruler of Umuawa autonomous community, HRH Eze Godwin Asomogha described Don Lulu as a peaceful man who likes to empower many people and commended him for helping the people.
In his closing remarks, the chairman of the Ohuhu traditional rulers, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu lauded Lucky Igbokwe for impacting lives, assuring that the traditional rulers of Ohuhu and the people of Ohuhu are behind him .
Earlier in his speech ,the Lead consultant Director Lehae Farms and director of training , Dr Emmanuel Mgbekwute , said “the training commenced with just about 13 persons ,but 600 persons have registered and today they are graduating and they have learnt what Agriculture is all about .
He expressed appreciation to the chairman of Don Lulu Foundation for sponsoring the training
