Ikwuano State lawmaker cry for palliative measure on lkwuano umuahia lkot Ekpene Federal road..,……….
Abia State lawmaker representing lkwuano State Constituency, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi has expressed worried over deplorable nature of umuahia ikwuano and lkot Ekpene Federal highway and called on the Government as matter of urgent public importance to do palliative measure to curb the incessant suffering his constituents are experiencing on daily basis on the road adding that the road are now death trap to his constituents.
In their separate contributions, Hon. Chukwudi Apugo (umuahia East) and Hon. Jerry Uzosike (umuahia South) as well as Hon. Barr. Solomon chijioke Akpulonu (Obingwa East) commended Hon. Nwabuisi for raising the matter at the plenary adding that almost all the Federal roads in the Abia State are very bad making it difficult for vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, and pedestrians to move freely.
After the house meaningful deliberation on the matter, the members unanimously resolved to urged the Abia State Road maintenance Agency to as matter of urgent public importance, help to do a palliative measure to curb the incessant sufferings the people of lkwuano and some part of umuahia including strangers operating on that road are facing on daily basis.
They also called on the Federal House of Representative members and Senators representing Abia State at the National Assembly to do the needful by working in alliance to ensure that Federal Government give adequate attention in all the Federal roads that cross Abia to other neighbouring states adding that Abia electorates are suffering on bad Federal roads and hoodlums are taken advantage of the potholes to execute their criminal intentions on highway.
