Dedicate Your Remaining Years On Earth In The Service Your People President Buhari Tells Eze Ikonne

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,His Excellency Muhammad Buhari has urged the Enyi I of Aba and former chairman Ohaneze Ndigbo Council of Traditional Rulers,HIs Imperial Majesty, Eze Dr. I.A. Ikonne to dedicate his remaining years on Earth in the service of his people.

President Buhari who was represented at the occasion of the 93rd birthday celebration and 49th year on throne anniversary and conferment of Chieftaincy Titles on some eminent and deserving individuals held at his Royal White Palace #100 Fauks Road Aba by a delegation led by the Minister for Labour and productivity,chief Dr Chris Ngige,used the occasion to remind Eze Ikonne of their journey in 2015 during the campaign period that the journey is fruitful.

He further congratulated and felicitated Eze Ikonne and the entire people of Aba in Abia state on the occasion of the celebration of his 93rd birthday and 49th year on the throne.

He pointed out that they were at the occasion to respect the traditional Ruler, saying he is a good man who honoured the president with a Chieftaincy title.

In his speech during the ceremony,the Governor of Abia state,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu thank President Buhari for sending a powerful delegation to the celebration, while noting that their coming shows Mr president love for Ndi Abia .

Governor Ikpeazu who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State government of Abia , Barrister Chris Ezem , said the government and the people of Abia appreciate their visit.

Continuing ,he disclosed that Abia state government and the people of Abia Celebrate Eze Ikonne who he described as ,” embodiment and custodian of traditional institution”adding that,” we thank God for his life and pray that God will continue to protect him”

Among the delegation include the minister for Labour and productivity, Chief Dr Chris Ngige, the minister for state for Education Barrister Chukwuemeka Nwajuba, the minister for state for Mines and solid mineral ,Dr Uche Ogah and other dignitaries at the ceremony include Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the Abia state house member representing Aba North and South state constituency,Hon.Aeron Uzosike,the secretary to the state government, Barrister Chris Ezem and host of others .
