The federal government has said that it would review the ease of restriction placed on churches and mosques if worshippers disregard its guidelines.

 

Boss Mustapha, the chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19, made the statement on Thursday, June 4, during a briefing in Abuja.

 

The federal government stated that it would re-enforce the ban if worshippers disregard its guidelines.

 

He said the task force would monitor the compliance of Nigerians to the easing of restriction.

 

Mustapha pointed out that if need be, the ease of restriction would be reviewed to contain the spread of the virus.

“However, we will not hesitate to review as we progress, should the situation warrant, to avoid preventable risks of transmission,” Mustapha said.

Meanwhile, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly has said the church will soon be empty if it fails in its duty.

According to the man of God, cockroaches and spiders will take over the church if it fails to nourish the body of Christ.

 

The cleric made the statement in a conversation with Chude Jideonwo, founder of Joy, Inc.,
