COVID-19 : ASOPADEC BEGINS FUMIGATION OF MARKETS AND OPEN PLACES WITH ORIE NTIGHA MARKET.
The Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) in a bid to compliment the efforts of the State Government to prevent the spread of the deadly Corona Virus that is ravaging the world, yesterday, the 23rd day of April, 2020 commenced fumigation of public places.
Inline with the ASOPADEC’s resolution to key in with the State Government’s mission of fumigating public places in order to help control and contain the dreaded Corona virus, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South in the ASOPADEC, Hon. Uzo Ihuka has deemed it fit for the fumigation to commence immediately without delay in Isiala Ngwa North and South.
Earlier today, the fumigation team in charge of Isiala Ngwa North, South and Osisioma led by Comr. Ogbonna Nwadinma stormed Isiala Ngwa North and flagged off the fumigation with Orie Ntigha Market and later zoomed off to Amaorji market.
The Chairman of ASOPADEC, Chief Sam Nwaogu ably represented by Chief Uzo Ihuka who happens to be the Commissioner representing Isiala Ngwa North, South and Osisioma urged everyone to strictly obey the State government’s directive to stay at home and maintain social distancing.
Chief Nwaogu disclosed that the main aim for the fumigation is to assist the State Government in making sure that the deadly virus is contained in the State and assured that the commission will continue to give their support.
Hon. Okeosusu Jp Oor, Comr. Nwadinma Ogbonna some Chiefs and traditional prime ministers of the communities were present during the event.
