CONNAK FOUNDATION Empowers Over 50 Entrepreneurs and graduates About 100 ICT Experts In Abia State

The CONNAK FOUNDATION Empowers Over 50 Entrepreneurs and  Graduates about 100 ICT Experts.
It was a day full of surprises and excitement ,as CONNAK Foundation, a non -governmental organization held its 7th Founders Day, 2019 at Abia hotel Umuahia, while graduated 100 ICT students with start off kits of computers and printers  and sent out other various skills acquisition graduates and then empowered over 50  entrepreneurs with some going home with 250000 Naira, others 500000 Naira, 750000 Naira, and some 1 million Naira, 1.5milion Naira and others 2 milion Naira,as start off money to help them develop into big time entrepreneurs .
Addressing the Newsmen, the Chief Executive Officer of CONNAK Foundation, Mrs Carol Emeka Sunday, chronicled how the foundation started and while it started.
Mrs Carol, revealed that, ” CONNAK foundation was brought by the zeal to help humanity.It started in our locality, we realized that the young ones, the boys are prone to drugs, and robbery, so the girls were getting pregnant all over the place, unwanted pregnancy, we decided to do the bit we could “
She said, the foundation started with just 10 people who were sent to school, from that to 20 people, before the introduction of various skills acquisition.
According to her, the desire to ensure that the graduates excel in entrepreneurship ,compelled the Foundation to introduce entrepreneurial training , which is free of charge and the  building of an ultra modern resource center in Afugiri in Umuahia North L. G.A of Abia state.
She further disclosed that apart from the school and skills acquisition, that CONNAK Foundation, also empowers Entrepreneurs with funds and also into community infrastructural development, such as building of roads, electricity, medical facilities ,among others.
In her words, ” we also trained them on how to create a business proposal and we made it very competitive, so that the winners get funds for start. So the first time, we gave 4 businesses ,the second year, we gave 20 businesses and today, we are going to sponsor  50 businesses and its such a big one and 100 ICT graduates will be empowered with start off kits, each person goes home with a computer and a printer ” she said
Mrs Carol described CONNAK Foundation as a versatile organization, which is always generating opportunities for the youths ,while added that “When we started, we were doing it alone, but since last year, we have major sponsors and our major challenge is still more funding “
In there separate speeches, some of the empowered Entrepreneurs lauded Connak Foundation for changing their lives .For Engr .Madu Gabriel C. the owner of Caro palm oil, he described Connak foundation as one in a million ,added that he was glad to be empowered. ” If we have 100 people in Abia state doing what Connak is doing ,I believe poverty will be eradicated ” while for Okoro Chile ,” I am most happy, I have been looking for a way to expand my business and connak came on my way “
