Calvary Evangelistic Mission, SamGrace Community Initiative train 25 persons in various skills, encourage them to utilize the knowledge

The Headquarters of Calvary Evangelistic Mission Inc.Amachara in Umuahia South LGA,Abia State in conjunction with SamGrace Community Initiative have trained a total number of unemployed 25 persons on various skills and encouraged them to leverage on the knowledge and skills they have acquired during the training to build and strengthen their businesses.

Addressing the participants shortly after awarding them certificates of participation in the training which held at the Headquarters of Calvary Evangelistic Mission Inc.Amachara community in Umuahia South LGA,the Chief Executive Officer Samgrace Community Initiative,Mr John Sampson commended the participants for their commitment through out the training, said the power to transform their futures lie within them.

According to him,”At Samgrace Community Initiative,our vision is to create a harmonious society where every individual has equal opportunities to thrive.

” Our mission is to identify and empower individuals, enabling them to realize their aspirations for the future.

” We strive to promote social justice,reduce poverty, and create a sustainable impact that transforms the lives of the most vulnerable” he said

He expressed appreciations to the trainer Jacin Food and Beverages Limited for their invaluable contribution in imparting essential skills and knowledge,resident pastor, church leaders and especially Mrs Grace Onwubiko for their unwavering support in organizing the event, explaining that their guidance and encouragement were instrumental in making the program a success.

Expressing her appreciation to the sponsors of the training,one of the participants Miss Gift Timothy Chinecherem described the 2 -day training as very intensive and amazing.

She disclosed that she could now make cake,bread, shawarma, pizza,egg rolls among others,noted that now that the white collar jobs are difficult to find,she intend to start practicing all that she has learnt, assuring that she would not disappoint the sponsors.

In her own speech, the Resource person and trainer,Mrs Chinwendu Agazue who is the owner of Jacin Food and Beverages Limited, said she helped to train the participants in my skills to reduce unemployment rate as well as to enable them earn good living.

Speaking to Newsmen after the program, the Resident Pastor,Rev.Timothy Ekwuribe said the leadership of Calvary Evangelistic Mission incorporated see it very necessary to empower some of her members because of the condition of the economy in the country presently.
According to him,” We believe that time has come when members should be taught how to do one thing or the other to earn a living and not leaving everything to government.

” Time has come when individuals, groups, should encourage others to find something to do so as to earn living”

He further assured those participants who would put what they have learnt into practice of financial support from the sponsors of the training.
He explained that the Samgrace Community Initiative is owned by members of the church, clarifying that Grace is the wife of the Founder of the church, while Sam is the name of the Founder of the church.

Earlier,the wife of the Founder of Calvary Evangelistic Mission incorporated, Mrs Grace Onwubiko said it was to help the Needy and the poor that motivated them into sponsoring the training and promised that those participants who would be doing well will be supported financially.


” We equally plan to make the program an annual event and I want to advise the participants to put what they have learnt into practice” she said
