Comrade Uchenna Obigwe emerges the Abia state chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress .
In a keenly contested election ,held at Kolping society of Nigeria Umuahia ,Comrade Uchenna ,the incumbent chairman defeated his rivary ,Comrade Eze Idima.
Uchenna pulled a total votes of 225 against Eze Idima who pulled 160 votes .
In his acceptance speech ,Comrade Uchenna Obigwe promised to work for the all workers affairs, to ensure that Abia workers are properly taken care of
Addressing the pressmen ,he said the issues of arrears of salaries owed to parastaltals and pensioners in Abia state would be addressed,saying ,” this time around ,it is not going to be business as usual, we will do things humanly possible to ensure that Abia workers are paid as it when due .
He pointed out ,that all hands must be on deck to ensure that workers benefits are properly taken care of .
