Stand As The Conscience of the Society, The  New Anglican Church Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Calls on the Church

The Christians have been enjoined to continue to be committed to the preaching and teaching of the undiluted word of God, for the expansion of the kingdom of God and for the growth of the church.

The new enthroned Bishop of Umuahia diocese of Anglican communion, the Rt Revd  Geoffrey  Obijuru Ibeabuchi, who stated this during his enthronment service at St. Stephen Cathedral Umuahia, by His Grace the most Revd Nicholas D. Okoh ,the primate of All Nigeria Anglican communion, pointed out that, it is  a new beginning in umuahia Anglican diocese.
His words, ” It is  a new dawn in the diocese of Umuahia, having been enthroned as the third bishop of the Anglican diocese of Umuahia to continue to work on the legacies of my predecessors “
He promised to ensure that the diocese continue to March forward ,so that the name of the Lord will be exalted.
Bishop Ibeabuchi, called on the church to stand as the conscience of the society, so that righteousness and peace will reign, adding that righteousness exalt a nation.
Speaking at the enthroment service, the Abia state Accountant General, Mr Kelechi Imeorie,who expressed joy,  described the new bishop as a real child  of God ,who is very humble and committed to the work of God.
He disclosed that the Bishop has been a family friend, saying that his  father was a clergyman with his own father ,while urging him to continue to keep on with those qualities that led him to be on that position.
In his speech, the Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who was represented by the Secretary to the state government, Barrister Chris Ezem,commended the new bishop on his emergence, saying that Abia state government is rejoicing with him on his enthroment.
He described the new bishop as man committed to the work of God, adding that his emergence was not a surprise to Abians.
The Governor said, ” we are celebrating with  him and we pray that his reign will bring good tidings to the church and the entire christiandom,even as he urged men of God to stand in the gap and intercede for  the nation.
