The Abia State Government has charged men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to assist Abians to drive safe and assured readiness to synergize and assist the corps accomplish its task.
The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Pastor Calab Ajagba who gave the charge while receiving in audience,a delegation led by the Sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps,Abia state,Corps commander Paul Ugwu at the Government House, Umuahia,explained that improving the livelihood of the people of the State is one of the cardinal agenda of Governor Alex Otti’s led administration.
Continuing, he said that the government has already started tackling traffic challenges in the State including that of Isigate Umuahia to achieve free flow of traffic and ensure touts were dismantled in the area.
He stressed that Governor Alex Otti’s led administration is focused and embraces law and order and as a result,government willingness to partner the agency in getting plate numbers for government vehicles.
Ajagba, who expressed appreciation to the Abia State Command of the Corps for the good works it has been doing in the State,added that the various requests of the Corps commander would be looked into with a view to ensuring a more robust relationship.
Earlier, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Abia State, Corps Commander Paul Ugwu said he came to identify with the Chief of Staff and highlighted some things he would want the office to do in assisting the Command to carry out its job. He requested for synergy between the Federal Road Safety Corps and Abia State Traffic Management Agency.
