The APGA candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu has celebrated the new year to party faithfuls from Umuahia North LGA by giving them bags of rice,cash and other gift items, while reminding them that power belongs to the electorates and that it is time to change the narratives by electing new brands of leaders who have the interests of the people in heart.
He pointed out that Nigeria is in a very desperate situation that calls for carefulness and prayers,added that the politics that will save Abia state is not politics of self but selfless politics.
He lamented the poor state of Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency said nothing is moving in the area while urging people to elect God fearing person who can use what belongs to the Constituents to develop the constituency by building hospitals, health care centers, provision of quality education and other dividends of democracy.
He pointed out that any leader who refuses to do the right things ,does not have the spirit of the living God in him .
According to him,” APGA is the only party that took time and elected credible candidates during the party primaries hence will change the narratives of the state.
” I did not join APGA for fancy but because I met people of like minds who will deliver dividends of democracy to our people,let us be dedicated and hard-working so as to ensure victory in the next coming general election.
” By God’s grace we are going to join hands to make Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency one we can be proud of and use as a reference point constituency in development in the whole of Abia state.
Earlier the Director General of Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu campaign council,Mr Osondu Anamelechi said party stakeholders were invited for the purpose of unity and to pursue the goal of the party which is victory at last.
In their responses,the Umuahia North LGA party faithfuls made up of ward chairmen, Abarikwu women,LG state coordinators ,Pay mark,Elevate Abia North foundation and other pro groups expressed appreciation to Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu for interfacing with them as well as giving them gifts items and bags of rice for new year .
The APGA chairman Umuahia North LGA,Hon. Onyenze Ikenna challenged the party members to see this period as a time of hard work and urged them to go to the grassroots level and educate the people to vote massively for Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu and all the APGA candidates.
