All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA) Abia state has passed a vote of confidence on the National leadership of their party led by Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye for their resilience, doggedness and astuteness in piloting the affairs of this great party which they assured will bring victory for APGA come 2023,as well as “warned Edozie Njoku,Chief Chekwas Okorie and their co-travelers to desist forthwith from their serial and fraudulent activities of using the name of APGA to defraud some unsuspecting members of the public for their selfish and personal gains, failing which the law will catch up with them sooner or later”
The Abia chairman,Rev Augustine Ehiemere who made this known during a world press conference by the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)Abia state chapter titled ‘Relics of a mercantile politicians’ held at State Secretariat Umuahia said APGA has become a great party in Nigeria and cynosure of all eyes under the able leadership of Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye who has been the undisputed National chairman of the party, added that the exploits of Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye as the National chairman cannot be fathomed as the facts speak for itself.
According to him,” It is very unfortunate that those who do not like anything good coming from APGA have recruited some political charlatans and mercantile politicians in a bid to disrupt and distract the National leadership of this great party led by our indefatigable National chairman, Victor Ike Oye whose track record as the National chairman of this great party are there to be verified.
” To put the records straight,we want to categorically state that Chief Edozie Njoku who has been parading himself as the National chairman of this party is nothing but an impostor and a mercantile politician who has been using the name of APGA to dupe some desperate politicians in Nigeria in the name of giving them party ticket to run elections.
” For the avoidance of doubt ,the said political con man and fraudster called Edozie Njoku is not a member of APGA in any of the political wards in Nigeria, including Imo State and as a frustrated man without any meaningful means of subsistence,he has adopted a political strategy to use the name of APGA to dupe the unsuspecting members of the public by parading himself as the National chairman of APGA ,just in a bid to cause confusion and to eke out a living from his machinations”
He disclosed that Chekwas Okorie is not a member of APGA and should stop parading himself as the presidential candidate of the party, saying “that the only presidential candidate of APGA in the forthcoming 2023 general election is in the person of Prof. Peter Umeadi who emerged as the presidential candidate of the party in a special National convention of the party held in June,2022 at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja”
He further pointed out that,” Chekwas Okorie was expelled from APGA in 2003 for anti-party activities and embezzlement of funds and few years after his suspension from the party,he floated a mushroom party which he called UPGA in 2012 and later renamed it UPP ( United Progressive Party) which was dead on arrival .
“APGA Abia therefore ,reiterates the fact that the duo of Edozie Njoku and Chekwas Okorie are political impostors who wants to reap where they have not sown and the general public and all Nigerians should beware of these mercantile .
“Chief Chekwas Okorie and his co-traveler, Edozie Njoku are political liabilities who apply deceit with the sole aim of achieving their selfish political gains at the expense of some desperate politicians who just want to answer candidates in abstraction and not in law and fact ” he said
