The Diocese of Umuahia ,Anglican communion ,Ecclesiastical province of Aba is set to hold the second session of the Ninth Synod with the theme ,’ LOOKING Unto Jesus ,the Finisher of our Faith ‘
Addressing pressmen at St Stephen’s Anglican church Umuahia ,the chairman of the local organizing committee ,Mr Anene Ifeanyichukwu Joseph ,said that the Diocese is prepared for this year’s synod , ” we are well -prepared for this year’s synod ,the delegates are highly welcome “
Anene described synod as an annual meeting of the Anglican communion ,where important decisions on issues concerning the church are made .The synod is the highest decision making body in Anglican communion ,every church is represented “
The chairman of the synod committee ,sir Emenike Joseph Onuoha ,described synod as a form of Evangelism ,saying he feels happy doing the work of God .
He urged the church members to be consistent and law-abiding ,adding that this year’s synod will be very fruitful.
