Action Democratic Party has organized her presidential campaign rally in Abia state with a promise that every Nigerian will be treated according to law irrespective of the part of the country the person come from as well return Aba to hub of industrialization which the town was known for.
The presidential candidate of the party Engr Yusuf Sani Yabagi who made this disclosure while addressing the gathering at the event held at Evermore Event Center Umuahia, said the guiding principle of the party is rule of law meaning that every body is equal before the law of the country and can only be punished according to the law .
He said when ADP comes to power,a Nigerian can not be kept in prison after getting judgment because of the part of the country the person come from as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is being treated,added that it is a convenant the party has with Nigerians.
He decried the injustice being meted to the Igbos in Nigeria,noted that they have not been given equal rights and opportunities like other Nigerians.
According to him,”I am saying this with all sense of responsibility the people of South East has been push to the wall and I do believe that when you give people equal opportunity in their country, believe you me,they will work for that country as if there is no tomorrow.
” So if we make this country to belong to all of us,if we do not discriminate because of tribe, religion or language you speak,this country is the promise of greatness”
He said when ADP takes over power, they are going to grow the economy of the country as well as solve the problem of insecurity in the country
He further described Igbo nation as a nation of greatness added that Igbo people are always a model wherever they found themselves while promising that his administration will give the Igbos the credit they deserve in the Nigeria.
He pointed out that his running mate Dr Okey Udo who is from Abia state is a gentleman who is passionate about Nigeria and committed to the progress of the country, urging Abians to support him.
In his speech, the Vice presidential candidate,Dr Pastor Okey Udo, described the presidential candidate of his party as somebody that knows the problems of Nigeria,added that he loves the Igbos and if they vote for him,they will not regret it.
In his speech,the Gubernatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party Abia State,Mazi Jonas Chibike Okafor described the presidential candidate as a man of integrity who is capable of turning things around if he emerges as the president of Nigeria.
Continuing, he urged people to ensure that they cast their votes to ADP, saying by the grace of God the party will take over Abia state after the election.
Earlier, in his speech the ADP chairman Abia State,Deacon Benjamin Arisa, welcomed the ADP Presidential candidate to Abia state.
He disclosed that ADP did not come out to be settled or to play second fiddle,rather to form government, saying,”we can not form government without winning positions.
” We are prepared to go to the field and we know that there are states we can take up and Abia state is one of them”
He appealed for fund to enable the party in Abia wins many positions, said ADP in Abia state has over 1000 to 2000 polling agents .
