The Abia state chairman of Action Democratic Party (ADP) Deacon Benjamin Arisa has urged Ndi Abia to embrace ADP as a credible alternative that will institute governance to bring an answer to the question of every class of people in Abia state while urging the ruling party prepare for the change that is coming and that ADP is bringing the wind of change in Abia state.
Interacting with Newsmen shortly after formally thanking God for their new office in Abia state at No 81 Awolowo Road Umuahia, the state of chairman of the party expressed appreciation to God for making it possible for ADP to be rooted in Abia state and invite everyone Abians to align with the party.
According to him,” We just called our State Exco members,our zonal Exco members,our LGA chairmen and secretaries to formally thank God for our new office in Abia state and there after letting the Public know that ADP is formally rooted in Abia state and the ruling party in the state should prepare for the wind of change that is coming in Abia state.
” We are actually not coming to compete with any one .we are actually coming to give Abians credible alternative.We are not contending with other political parties .
” We have come to show the good people of Abia state,the electorates alternative to their cry.
” There is a credible alternative and there is a credible way to go through .
” When you do not give people credible platform ,they will never have it .
” So what ADP has come to do is provide credible platform for genuine people that have good plans for this State to rebrand this State with the divine mandate of God.
Speaking further,he revealed that he charged ADP members to go back to their various constituencies and ensure the spread of ADP and ensure that every member from the polling units,wards , and various local government areas are captured in the national on-going online registration of the party.
Commenting on the number of political aspirants that have indicated interest to run under ADP,Deacon Arisa said,” We have been talking with them,but now that we have our office in the state capital,this is the time we can document every discussion.
” We believe in receiving men of like-minds who are serious in running for elective positions.
” In fact,that is why our nomination fee is high, because we are not open to all classes of politicians.
” Our party is structured in such a way that only serious people pick form .
“Those who are committed to win Election.You can not pick our nomination form and not run for election” he insisted.
In his Contribution,the secretary of Abia ADP Chief Paul Nmeregini said party members were urged to move to their various constituencies and receive all the political aspirants that are rushing to join the party, promising that they will be given equal opportunity.
