The Executive Members of the Abia state Trado Medicine Practitioners Association, have paid a courtesy visit to their Board Chairman and former chairman of the Association , High Chief (Dr ) Ebubedike in his place at Old Umuahia,to show appreciation for his support towards the growth and development of the association.
Interacting with Newsmen during the visit,the Chairman Abia state Traditional Medicine practitioners Association, Dr Chukwuemeka Jim ,disclosed that “We came to appreciate my predecessor for his support and contributions during our election and inauguration and to equally remind him of the need to hand
over the seal of office to us to enable us start work and he promised to do that soon “
Speaking further, he promised to meet all the Trado medicine practitioners in Abia state who have not identified with association , so as to bring all the members together,while urging members to seek for peace and love to enable the association go forward.
In the same vein ,the vice chairman of the association ,Hon.(Dr) Ikechukwu John ,revealed that the New administration will be organizing seminars and workshops ,which they will partner with the Traditional Rulers of the different autonomous communities in Abia state as part of their strategies to mobilize all the Trado medicine practitioners in Abia ,adding that soon the mobilization team set up by the State government will start picking those who are practicing without proper registration with the government.
In his response, High chief (Dr) Ebubedike ,commended the New chairman and his team for finding time to visit him .
He urged members to support the new executive team led by Jim Chukwuemeka ,revealing that after his tenure ,the leadership position will shift to Abia North .
He charged the new leadership to ensure that every member of the association is properly registered with Abia state government, noting that ,” We are strongly behind Dr Jim Chukwuemeka to move the association forward.
