The Rector ,Abia state polytechnic Aba ,Dr Okorie Kalu has praised and appreciated the Governor of Abia state Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for the massive support which he has been given the institution since he assumed office as the Rector of the school last September ..
Dr. Osonwa ,who made this known when some Newsmen ran into him at the Abia polytechnic premises Aba,during the Aba North /Aba South Federal constituency election ,disclosed that the institution has suddenly worn new look ,courtesy of the supportive efforts of the Governor of Abia state .
According to him , I was appointed the Rector in September and you can see renovations everywhere. The school is wearing new look .I want to thank the Governor. He is very supportive .The Governor is the secret behind what you are seeing here ”

Speaking further , he said in the next six months ,Abia polytechnic will be upgraded to international standard ,adding that the school has distinguished itself academically in many areas.
