The Abia state police command ,Umuahia has gun down the notorious criminal who has been terrorizing the entire Umuahia and its environment.
A statement released by the Commissioner of Police in the state Ene Okon, revealed that the said Nwokocha who was recently realsed from the Prison had been on the watchlist of the command following his numerous criminal activities.
The release reads:
It could be recalled that on 6 and 10 November 2019 Nwokocha and his gang who have on the black list of the police Command both in Abia state and Imo had invaded Helson Hotel and robbed staff and guest of the hotel, during which one policeman on duty was shot dead and rifle carted away.

“On November 6th 2019
Nwokocha and his robbery gang invaded Helson Hotel umuahia to rob staff and guests of the hotel at about 02:50hrs during which one of the policemen on duty was shot dead and his rifle carted away”.
“Also, on Nov. 10, 2019, at about 09:20hrs, himself and his gang robbed the attendants and customer of Forte Oil service filling station on Bank road Umuahia”.
“On different occasions he led a gang that snatched vehicles from within and outside of the capital City, Umuahia thus: Enugu road, warri street by Calabar, World bank Housing estate and robed Oceanic Foods, Superlative oil along Mission Hill, one Supermarket beside Crunchies and planned to attack Umuahia Correctional service centre (Prisons) in order to liberate his mother and others”.
“He also robbed Oceanic foods, superlative Oil, God is Good motors and planned to attack the Correctional Service Centre in Umuahia (Prison) in order to liberate his mother and other people”.
” Sampson was finally gun down by Police operatives attached to state command following a tip up on Tuesday, December 3.
Okon warned other criminals whose intensions might be to disrupt the peace and serenity of the state to desist from such otherwise they should change their location, as the command he maintained will not spare them.
In a further investigation, during an informal chat with some passengers in a Tricycle (Keke Napep), SouthEast News was reliably informed by a passenger (name withheld) who introduced herself as a member of Sampon’s family that the Sampson had over the years jeopardised the lives of the occupants of the various compounds in the area.
Hear her: “I have just gone there to confirm that truly it was Sampson that the police killed. Finally, all of us can mow rest. This boy has terrorised and killed so many lives. You won’t that both his mother who prepares his charms, his younger and immediate older brothers are all wasting at prison, including his sister”.
“But, mow we all are happy. This small boy goes from house to house pasting letters of notice, stating what date he will come for operation and he will not fail”, she said.
