The Governorship candidate of Action Peoples Party,APP, Abia State chapter, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu has called on the people of Umuahia South local government area of the state to vote their party in order to ensure prompt payment of workers salaries,pensions and job creation in 2023.
The Gubernatorial Candidate of APP disclosed this Saturday evening at Mbaraukwu Ogbodiukwu during his consultation visit to the people .
Mascot Uzor Kalu who is the younger brother to the Senate Chief Whip,Senator Orji Uzor Kalu however called on the people to vote out the ruling party in the state,which he said has compounded the woes of Abians through non payment of salaries and pensions,job creation as well as building roads that are in total desrepair due to long time of neglect.
The former Chief of Staff to the former Governor of Abia state promised to pay salaries and pensions on every 25th of every month in order to restore confidence on workforce while also promised to create 17,000 jobs if voted to power in 2023.
He however commended Ogbodiukwu people for trooping out en masse to receive his team noting that among all the Governorship candidates jostling for the plum office,he towers above them all in terms of experience,capacity and capability while soliciting for the support of the people to vote him and their son,Hon Samuel Chibike Nwachukwu who is contesting for Abia House of Assembly.
On his part,the APP Umuahia South candidate for Abia House of Assembly election, Hon Samuel Chibuike Nwachukwu said he joined the race in order to change the poor infrastrutural deficits of his people noting that there is no passable roads in Ogbodiukwu and Umuopara but promised to redress this ugly situation if voted to power in 2023.

He added that he has been grading the road to his community as well as providing them with solar light that lits Ofeiyi Ogbodiukwu at night in addition to employment oppurnities he extended to his people.
“I have also provided empowerment largesse to our people over the years even before planning of going into politics because of passion i have in touching lives positively”
Hon Samuel Chibike Nwachukwu noted with enthusiasm that with the wisdom of the elders and strength of the youths,he sees APP winning 2023 election across board.
Earlier,the Director General of Mascot Uzor Kalu campaign Council,Chief Mark Ugorji noted that APP Governorship candidate is coming to right the wrong done to the people of Abia North Senatorial District on rotational Governorship among the zones in the state which has been disrupted by the Ukwa la ngwa Bloc.
He added that APP government will not owed workers salaries, that pensioners will receive their pension regularly adding that Mascot Uzor Kalu and Hon Samuel Nwachukwu are going to change the political narratives in Abia state if elected to power.
Whereas,the LGA Party Chairman,Hon Ugochukwu Ibeku in an interview with our Correspondent expressed optimism that his party will win the Governorship,House of Assembly tickets in the forthcoming 2023 election while calling on Ogbodiukwu people to join the moving train.
In their seperate sheeches ,the Deputy President General of Ogbodiukwu Progressive Union Federated ,OPUF, Chief Victor Igbokwe,Ogbodiukwu Council of Chiefs represented by Chief Chukwudi Ehiogu and Chief Mrs Nwamaka Abosi representing the Women group with Mr Iyke Ebere Nwachukwu representing the youth wing, all assured the party the support of the people having been satisfied with the candidacy of their son,Samuel Nwachukwu and the Governorship candidate,Mascot Uzor Kalu in their well articulated manifestoes .
Earlier,the APP Governorship campaign Council had visited Ndieze Umuopara wherein the traditional rulers of the clan
prayed and wished them well in their political endeavour.
In his welcome remarks,the Chairman, Umuopara Traditional rulers council,HRM Eze (Engr) tasked the Governorship candidate,Mascot Uzor Kalu Assembly candidate,Samuel Nwachukwu to embrace issues based campaign during the electioneering campaigns adding that it is natural they receive all political parties and give their blessings as their subjects granted that the traditional rulers do not do politics.
Other traditional rulers as Eze Stephen Ihuoma,Chairman Umuahia South Council of Traditional rulers and Eze GC Ibeakanma also shared the same sentiment with their Chairman that they are apolitical but advised the candidates to avoid words that can heat up the polity.
