Ahead of 2023 General election,scores of pro- groups are drumming support for the candidacy of the leader of Abia APC and the Gubernatorial candidate of the party,High Chief Ikechi Emenike, Hon Obilo Ogbonna,the House of Representatives candidate, for Ikwuano Umuahia, and Hon Onyedi Okwulehie, the Umuahia North, Ohuhu Constituency, candidate of the party for Abia House of Assembly election respectively
.
Arising from the meeting of the pro group,held today, Friday,at Nkwoegwu, APC Ohuhu Women Coordinators said they decided to throw their weight behind the trio because of their track records and proven abilities to deliver the dividends of democracy if voted to power.
Speaking on behalf of the group,the Liason Officer of Hon Onyedi Okwulehie campaign Organization,Mrs Natasha U.k told this Reporter of the determination of Ohuhu women in APC to deliver overwhemly stressing that they are solidly behind the said three illustrious sons of Ohuhu land.
Another pro- group, Odinma Ohuhu said they will not rest on their oars until they deliver the leader of the structure,Hon Onyedi Okwulehie,the party’s Governorship candidate and State leader of APC,High Chief Ikechi Emenike, Hon Obilo Ogbonna and other APC candidates contesting 2023 election.
As for the Director General of the group,Barr Somadila Uzodinma
told our Correspondent that they are working round the clock to deliver and are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that Hon Onyedi Okwulehie, Hon Obilo Ogbonna and High Chief Ikechi Emenike emerged victorious in the various Political offices they contested for.
In a related development,APC Isingwu ward, Ohuhu has said there is no cause for alarm that they are ever ready to deliver all the three prominent sons of the community and others stressing that the ward is intact.
Speaking during their just concluded meeting, Tuesday, held at Hon Onyedi Okwulehie campaign office at Okpuala Isingwu,the Ward Chairman,Mr Ehiogu Emmanuel from Amafor Isingwu said they cannot wait to deliver the state leader,High Chief Ikechi Emenike,Hon Obilo Ogbonna and Lord Mayor, Hon Onyedi Okwulehie come 2023.
To lend credence to the above position,a chieftain of APC and former House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano Umuahia,PPA,in 2011, Ikeoha Jones Nwabueze said that to deliver the great sons of Ohuhu land is a faith accomplish come 2023, therefore nobody should entertain any fears adding that the party is on ground in Abia.
He however took a swipe at those who defected from APC to APP as insifigant few who are bereft of electoral value but excess luggages who were merely tolerated at the formation of the Exco.
Meanwhile,Hon Onyedi Okwulehie,the Umuahia North candidate for APC, Abia House of Assembly who was in attendance during the meeting of APC Ohuhu Women Coordinators thanked them for the confidence reposed on them promising that they will not disappoint.
He appreciated his people for the uncommon love for him that he will redefine representation in Umuahia North of the Abia House of Assembly if voted to power in 2023.
