The Member -elect Aba North and South federal Constituency,Hon. Emeka Nnamani has disclosed that Aba has had quite legislative deficit that he has capacity and tenacity to change the narratives and lauded Governor Alex Otti for his commitment towards rebuilding Aba by announcing the ministry of Aba during his inauguration .
Hon Nnamani made this known while interacting with Newsmen at the International conference center Umuahia during the inauguration ceremony of Dr Alex Otti as the Governor of Abia State, said he would change the legislative backwardness in Aba.
According to him,” Aba has been backward when it comes to legislative activities. I believe that when it comes to certain things that have to do with legislative intervention,Aba has been backward and I am going to bring alot of things to the fore.
” I have alot for my primary constituency which is Aba North and South and my secondary Constituency which is the federal republic of Nigeria” he said
He revealed that he has put down alot of bills that will be of great benefits to his Constituents,added that he would hit the ground running once they are Inaugurated.
Nnamani vowed to sponsor a bill to criminalize non payment of salaries and pensions in Nigeria,frowned at situations where people are not paid their salaries as at when due.
” People get away easily when work has been done,owing people their wages and no body has been able to address this head -on.
” It is high time its criminalized both in State , Federal and private sector. When people give you their time you should be able to pay them else it will be actionable” he insisted.
Speaking further,he described Dr Alex Otti as a man of character and candour who will fulfill all the promises he has made to Abians.
” I am very sure that most of what he promised as it concerns my Constituency which is Aba North and South he will fulfill them ,he has already reiterated his commitment towards getting the ministry of Aba,which he mentioned in his speech that in the next one week, you will be seeing the unveiling of a very viable council that has to do with his promises for the ministry of Aba.
“So I believe that a man with such capacity will be able to deliver on his promises”
