Abia : It was a horrific sight at Bende Road by Finbars road ,just opposite Central police station Umuahia ,Abia state capital as a trailer driver crushed an unidentified police officer on duty .
It was gathered that the police officer who was on duty stopped the heavy vehicle, unknown to him ,the vehicle lost control ,thereby knocking down the police officer before crushing his head into particles .
As at the time of filling this story ,the police public relations officer’s number was not going through.
However ,an eye witness ,who doesn’t want his name mentioned , said the driver of the big vehicle ran away as soon as he noticed that he had killed someone.
