Methodist women award not about money ,but how diligent you serve God… Nneoma Joy Obioma.

One of the beneficiaries of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Umuahia West, Diocese who last Saturday was bestowed with ” Nneoma award 2022″ Nneoma (Lady)Joy Chinonyerem Ibe Obioma has said that this prestigious award confered on Women faithful of the church is not about how rich the beneficiary is but because of how the person is serving God.

She however cited an example of a poor woman who was always the first to come to church, will clean alter and seats in the church unknown to her that her selfless services to the vineyard of God was been keenly observed but was surprised when Bishop’s wife of Diocese spotted her and mentioned her name as one of the beneficiaries.

Nneoma Lady Joy Chinonyerem Ibe Obioma told our Correspondent in an interview that she was born into Methodist family and has been a Methodist all through her adult life and also married a Methodist,Sir Ibe Obioma noting that it was her services to household of God that spotted her out for the Nneoma award and not based on how rich they are.

Answering questions from Journalists in her Amachara Ezeleke Umuopara in Umuahia South country home of Abia state on what qualifies one to be confered with the Nneoma award of the Methodist Church of Nigeria.Nneoma Lady Joy Chinonyerem Ibe Obioma said conferment of this highest title of the women folk of the church is not about money, but about how diligent you are serving God with all your hearts , adding that there was a woman who will be the first to come to church,clean the alter, seats in the church, during weddings will arrange things and in fact on the day of event,she was ushering Nneoma awardees in but was very surprised when the Bishop’s wife mentioned her name as one of the beneficiaries.

To this end,she noted that Nneoma award is not about money but about how the awardee is serving God to the attestation of Women members of Methodist Church.

She however commended Methodist Church, Umuahia West Diocese for honouring her with Nneoma award which she said she excited her and the family.

According to her,” I’m excited to be one of the Nneoma Awardees,the last time i was confered with “Ada eji ga mba” title of Ohuhu land,” meaning Worthy Daughter of Ohuhu land,i was not present to receive it, it was my husband that represented me because i was newly appointed the Senior Steward of Folawiyo Bankole Memorial Methodist Church,Ikate Suru lere,Lagos.”

She noted this award will spur her to greater services in the vineyard of God while commending her husband and children for being supportive in serving God as one of the faithful disciples.

On his part,the husband of newly decorated Nneoma,Sir Ibegbulem Emelogu Obioma said that she has really worked hard for it and allow God to do it in His own time,we don’t try to influence anything.

She has performed well right from our local church in Nigeria down to our village church in Amachara,she was born a Methodist,and all through her life,she has been working in the vineyard of God.

“I thank God that we are alive to celebrate with her and our people here in Amachara,thank Methodist Church Women wing of Umuahia West Diocese for honouring my wife” Sir Ibe Obioma said”.

Sir Ibe Obioma described his wife as invaluable asset to the family, community and church stressing that she will always leave an indelible mark of achievements wherever she finds her, therefore a role model of inestimable value.

He therefore wives to work together with their husbands all will be well in their marriages as he is savouring a pleasant marriage experience with his lovely wife, Nneoma Lady Joy Chinonyerem Ibe Obioma while thanking the church for honouring her.
