The traditional Ruler of Amuzukwu Ibeku autonomous community and chairman Umuahia North council of traditional Rulers HRM Eze John Onyebuchi Ibezim has disclosed that the Iwa ji Ndi Eze Umuahia North has continued to bring unity and progress among the Ibeku people and the Ohuhu people, describing it as a good development.

Eze Ibezim who made the disclosure during the occasion of Iwa ji Umuahia North,2022 held at Umuahia North LGA Headquarters premises,described the role of Ndi Eze and Royal father’s as advisory to the political and ruling class .

He urged politicians to see politics as a game on the play ground and not a fight in the battlefield.
According to him,” Candidates should highlight only governance related issues which are deficient in their opponents and arguments should be concentrated on issues devoid of character assassination.
” It should be centered on proof of superior personality profile relative to political position being contested .
” A candidate should therefore highlight major career successes , breakthroughs and innovations in service history.
” A candidate for executive position should be able to project his vision for specific time frame,that implies where he wants to be and how to get there.
” Candidates should tell the public how they will attain maximum success despite obvious prevailing obstacles of insufficient resources” he said.

He described compulsory debate among contestants on political and administrative issues as very important and necessary, explained that it is very important process to elect the best Candidates.
In their separate speeches, the President General Ohuhu Welfare Union,Chief Johnie Nwankwo and the President General of Ibeku Egwu Asaa Development Association,High chief Jerry O.Onyemachi said the joint cerebration of Iwa ji between Ohuhu and Ibeku clans will continue to enhance progress and development of the two clans,prayed for such unity to continue to exist.
They opined that the joint cultural exhibition was a welcome development, while encouraging them to continue to promote peace and unity.
In his opening remarks,the chairman of the occasion,chief Dr Okechukwu Ndukwe who was represented by chief Chuks Ukegbu said he was impressed by the joint celebration of Iwa ji ceremony between the two clans and that Umuahia North LGA has remained very peaceful
He called for regular joint meetings between the two clans, said it will help to consolidate the love that exist between them as well as create opportunities to discuss their future political endeavors.

The ceremony was graced by prominent sons and daughters of Ohuhu land and Ibeku land, among them were the Speaker Abia state House of Assembly,Engr.Chinedum Orji (Ikuku oma Abia ) represented and High chief Victor Ikeji (Kpakpando Umuahia Gburugburu).
